Hafez Restaurant, established in 1983, is one of London's first and finest authentic Persian Restaurants. Our cuisine is a fusion of ancient Persian and Modern Iranian techniques. Hafez sources only the best quality cuts of meat and the freshest herbs and vegetables. Our dishes are prepared on our premises daily.
Persian food is unique amongst other Middle Eastern Cuisines in the way that it uses blends of fresh herbs and subtle aromatic spices such as saffron with fruit, nuts, pulses, and vegetables to combine and complement meat, fish and fluffy Persian rice. Generally, we do not use chilli peppers or strong spices.
Our head chef, Farshid Ziafat, has been at the heart of the restaurant for 25 years; his passion for great food is the key to our longstanding reputation for quality and excellence. Farshid and the Hafez team are regularly chosen by private individuals and cultural organisations to cater for Persian themed events, private parties and weddings at prestigious venues including Cliveden House, The Saatchi Gallery, The London Mandarin Oriental Hotel and The Victoria and Albert Museum.
